FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
Today I am going to talk you about the freedom of
expression, this is a human right and it is in the 19th article of
the “Declaration of the Human Rights” and this says that everyone has the right
of say what he thinks in any way of communication and cannot been judged by
anyone because of that, we are going to talk about an example of this in the actuality.
This example is of Ecuador, I’m going to talk about
two big things that happen here, the first of them are the revolts that fight
in the streets of Ecuador because of the humanitarian law that has been approved,
here we can see that this group of people, specially workers, share their
opinion about the approbation of this law, in this case they do it through pacific
revolts in the streets and their voices, here we have an example of the freedom
of expression and we cannot judge them, at least, publicly because we will be
violating the law and their rights, this is an actual example of this, and it
show us that we all have the freedom of say whatever we want.
But, obviously we cannot abuse of this right, we can
say whatever we want just if it doesn’t taunt other people, because if that happens
it will be violate the law.
In conclusion, we can say whatever we want, yes, but
if we do it publicly as a movement or revolution we have to do it in a responsible
way, we have our rights but also our limitations, and the rest of the people
also has rights and must be respected.
